The habit of reading

*THE HABIT OF READING*

“Reading makes a full man” – Francis Bacon
If walking exercises the muscles of the whole body than the same can be said for the habit of reading for the mind - it develops all the faculties of the mind. Reading can be initiated at an early age and gets better as students move up in higher grades and beyond. Studies show that cultivating lifelong reading habits is essential to long-term success. Here are some of the benefits of reading especially for young students :

*Develops Mental Capacity* - Reading develops the mind’s ability to think larger. It rather enables a student to think on subjects and people that the reader thought never existed.

*Enriches Vocabulary -* The new words and phrases one learns during the course of reading enriches the student’s language which can improve his/her comprehension and expression in all the subjects.

*Expands the horizons of the mind* - The easiest way to understand the various cultures and practices that exist in this world is through reading. This helps one through insights into the way people from different cultures act and think when faced with similar problems.

*Improves Concentration –* When a student finds something interesting to read, he/she becomes part of the story. This provides a clear focus on the subject and also exercises his/her brain to think ahead and try to analyze the next steps.

*Builds Self Esteem –* Books and articles on true stories of leadership or overcoming challenges provide a simple way to boost one’s self esteem.

*Students get inspired thinking* – “If they can, why can’t I?”

```Following are some tips for cultivating the habit of reading:```
• Start early. You can enjoy reading the Reading Primers first.
• Model good reading habits by watching others who are fond of reading.
• Read aloud with good reading skill modeled by the librarian or teachers.
 • Read for pleasure. Just explore without purpose of studying for exam.
• Read high-quality books. Reading books by great minds leads to great thoughts.
• Visit a library regularly or buy books from book stores to create your own.
NCERT science chemistryL.no 2 Is matter around us is pure? Qu├й .no.2 Write the step you would use for making tea.Use the word solution ,solvent, solute ,dissolve ,soluble ,insoluble ,filtrate and residue.
Qu├й 2] Write the steps you would use
for making tea. Use the words , solution solvent,  solute , dissolve , soluble , insoluble , filtrate ,residue.
Answer: Take 100ml of water as solvent and boil it few minutes.Now add one tea spoon sugar, one tea spoon tea leaves and 50ml of milk. Here sugar, tea leaves and milk are solute.Now boil it again for few minutes so that sugar will dissolves in solution as sugar is soluble in water.
Now filter the solution. Collect the filtrate in cup. The insoluble tea leaves will be left behind as residue.
NCERT solution [ Exercise 4.1] Lesson no .4 Linear Equation In Two Variables
Lesson .4.Linear Equation In Two Variables
Extra information:
A linear  in two variable AX +BY +C= O, were A & B ≠ 0 is called linear equation in two variable.
It has infinitily many solutions
The equation of X- axis  is
=0 & Y-axis= X= 0
The graph of x= a (ex ,3x) is a straight line parallel to Y- axis .
The graph of y= b (ex ,2y) is a straight line parallel to X- axis .
An equation of the type y= mx
Represent a line passing through the origion (O).
Exercise 4.1
Qu├й.1 ] The cost of a notebook is twice the cost of pen, write a linear equation in two variable to represent this statement.
Qu├й.2] Express the following linear equation in the form ax -by+ c=0 & incident the value of a,b &c in each case:
1] 2x 3y 9.35—
2]
3]
4]
5]
6]
7]
8]
NCERT solution ,with extra information[Exercise 5.2]Lesson no.5 Introduction to Euclid's Geometry
5 . Introduction to Euclid's Geometry
Equivalent Versions of Euclid's Fifth Postulates
There are several equivalent version of this postulate.
One of them is:
"For every line and every point P not  lyineg on L, There exist new line 'N' passing to P & parallel to L."
       OR
"Two distance intersecting lines cannot be parallel to the same line."
Ex .Digram :
Exercise 5.2
Que.1] How would you reside euclid's fifth postulate so that it would be easier to understand?
Ans: Two lines and said to be parallel to each other if-
I) They do not intersect at any point
ii) They are equal distance from each other.
iii) a = b {Distance between two parallel lines are equal.}
Que.2] Does euclid's fifth postulate imply the existence of parallel line? Explain.
Ans :  Yes, according to euclid's fifth postulate imply the existence of parallel lines.
{ From fig. 1 }
Angle 1 +Angle 2 <180°
Angle 3 +Angle 4 > 180°
Thus, the line will meet on producing.
But if { from fig .2 }
Angle 1+ Angle 2= 180 °
Angle 3 +Angle 4 = 180°
So, the line will not meet on producing on either of sides.
Hence, it can be said to that parellel lines exist .
